Interview of Eline Slagboom in magazine "Voedingswaarde"

23 April 2014 Author: Molepi - Molecular Epidemiology

Some people are lucky, they become very old and stay very healthy and without any endeavour. Researcher Eline Slagboom, professor of molecular epidemiology in Leiden, found out that in these people the same genes are active as in animals that are on a low-calorie diet. A genetically panacea has not been delivered (yet). However, these are encouraging findings in the area of nutrition and exercise.

In April's issue of "Voedingswaarde", a professional journal about health, nutrition and suppletion, Eline Slagboom of Molecular Epidemiology is being interviewed and talks about this topic.
