Prof dr Eline Slagboom from the Leiden University Medical Center presents ageing research as exciting, important, and worthy of the attention of “bright young minds”.

Her department of Molecular Epidemiology taught students that ageing has familial patterns (for health and disease) and that healthy ageing already starts in development and puberty. In this manner the younger generations will think about their foreseen wishes in 2060 when they are 70 years. On the basis of a novel teaching program for high school students a movie was made on the methodology of doing research on ageing.
