Yotam Raz wins the James Joseph Award for best PhD-student presentation

On the 12th of June, Yotam Raz (PhD-student, Molecular Epidemiology) won the James Joseph Award at the annual conference of the American Aging Association for best PhD-student presentation. 2017 james joseph award for yotam raz

During this meeting in Brooklyn, NY, he demonstrated in his talk titled ‘Mild lifestyle changes lead to skeletal muscle remodeling in older adults’ that a mild improvement in diet and physical activity leads to changes in the muscle composition of a group of healthy elderly individuals. In his research he used RNA-expression profiles of the muscles, combined with novel histological analyses to characterize the muscles’ architecture.
