rene luijk 100Coming from the field of psychology, René Luijk took a strong interest in statistics and later obtained a masters degree in applied statistics at Leiden University in 2012. He currently works as a PhD student at the departments of Molecular Epidemiology and Medical Statistics, both at Leiden University Medical Center. During his PhD he will, among other things, work on the development of new statistical tools for the analysis of genome scale DNA methylation data, and the application thereof. Currently René is finishing his thesis.
